2. The Lord be with you And also with you. Let us bring to mind those who are suffering and in sorrow. Give thanks to God, our loving creator And God’s mercy continues forever. They cried out in their trouble, And God heard them in their distress. God sent the Word and healed them, And led them on paths of salvation.

3. God’s ways are righteous, God’s ways are loving. God sustains us in our brokenness. And ministers to us in our healing. God is my strength and my song, And has become my salvation. Give thanks to God, God’s goodness and mercy endures forever.

21. Let us pray for all who suffer. Merciful God, you sent your Son to be our peace. Give us the courage and strength to help all who suffer pain or grief to find in him strength and peace, so that their trust in your promises may be renewed. Healer of our souls, lead us in strength and courage

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully hear our prayers and grant to your servants the help of your power, that their suffering may be turned into healing and our sorrow into joy.
