5 All Nottingham Knights are Expected to: Raise their hand to speak and wait to be called on. Speak in a normal, “indoor” voice. Follow all instructions immediately. Work on assigned tasks. Keep their hands, feet, and materials to themselves. Speak to everyone in a kind and respectful manner.

7 Homework Schedule Monday: Math Tuesday: Rapid Word Recognition (1 st 9 weeks) Fill in the blank sentences (2 nd – 4 th 9 weeks) Wednesday: Word Study Thursday: Practice high frequency word flash cards (1 st 9 weeks) Sentence writing (2 nd – 4 th 9 weeks) Friday: Poetry folder – read and return Monday

9 Morning Routine Tardy Bell rings at 8:20 a.m. Send all lunch money in a sealed and labeled envelope or bag (include first and last name) Return notes or forms in the homework folder Please send back homework folder daily

10 Snack Bring a healthy snack for classtime. Examples: - pretzels - grapes, strawberries, apples - celery, carrot sticks - graham crackers - goldfish - string cheese

11 Transportation We have switched to a number system for car riders. Please make sure ALL STUDENTS memorize car tag number. Any transportation changes can be emailed to nceknights@katyisd.org or you can send a note to your child’s teacher.nceknights@katyisd.org Transportation changes need to be received by 3:00 at the latest.

12 Retest and Redo Eligible: unit tests Projects done in class NOT Eligible: Daily assignments Projects completed at home Word study assesments Quizzes On demand writing Fountas and Pinnell Reading level All students who have not met standard, below 70% on a major test/project will be reassessed after reteaching/relearning.
