3. Motivation Need hands free system for inter-person communication in moderately extended scenarios Present system (telephone) places considerable overhead on the user (distraction).

4. Goals of the project Implement a model which uses the relevant context information to reduce the effort on part of the user to locate other users. The architecture has to be easy to implement. Instead of being a bare-bones location manager, provide user with options to configure the system.

6. Policy Specification Allow the user to set policy specifying modes and priorities Modes: Do not disturb Busy Temporarily away Priorities This describes which one of a set of users have greater priority, when they try to contact same user simultaneously

7. Metrics Objective is to conserve user time by reducing distraction. Hence metric to measure performance is the time required for establishing contact It may be compared with the conventional system in terms of time required.

8. Results (Expected) Hands free system to achieve inter-personal communication. Reduced effort on part of the user. Near telephone quality voice.

9. Conclusions and future work Adding sensors to detect presence of user. Better GUI on the client side. Dealing with issues like Multiple users near a system One user in the vicinity of multiple systems Adding other devices like PDA’s etc
