Effective classroom management is vital to the success of your programme

The success of small group strategy teaching depends on the ability of the rest of the class to engage productively in independent activities. Children need to be aware of the learning outcomes for these activities. Social skills to play the games effectively need to be taught. Spending time establishing routines, systems and expectations during the first few weeks is crucial.

Reflection Do you need to revisit class organisation and routines? What will other students be doing when they are not working with you? What existing resources can you use? What will you bring to share at your next team meeting ?
