2 Cytokinesis is the physical separation of the cell into two daughter cells
Cytokinesis is not a phase in itself, but instead, it occurs during telophase. In animal cells, cytokinesis is simply the pinching off and separating of the cell into two. In plant cells, the cell wall must be rebuilt. This is done with vesicles containing cell wall material gather and join in the middle to form a cell plate which becomes the cell walls. Cytokinesis

3 Time Spent in the Stages: Prophase
The average eukaryotic cell cycle last for approximately 24 hours. G1 stage of interphase is the longest portion. It lasts, on average, up to 10 hours. Synthesis is the second longest stage in interphase. It typically lasts 9 hours. G2 stage is the shortest portion of interphase. Usually lasting around 4 hours. Time Spent in the Stages: Prophase

4 The whole process of mitosis only lasts about 45 min to 1 hour in total.
Prophase lasts about 15 min total. Metaphase is the longest stage, lasting approx. 20 min. Anaphase is very fast, lasting about 3-5 min. Telophase including cytokinesis lasts about min total. Time Spent: Mitosis
