2. Each person needs one piece of paper on their desk, labeled: first & last name, block.  Who is the closest person to the door? That person will put #1 in the upper right corner. The person behind him/her will put #2 on their paper in the upper right corner, the next person will put #3 in the upper right corner of their paper.  The next person will put #1 on their paper and repeat this process until everyone has a number 1, 2 or 3 on their paper.  Follow the pattern so the last person in the row will “snake” around.

3. Shifting Funds Carlota “Lotta” Doe has $2000 in her savings account, while Les Cache has only $470 in his account. Criminal Hollie Hacker gains access to the bank’s computer and begins to shift funds around. On the first night, she creates a new account for herself She takes $50 from Carlotta’s account, plus puts $40 into Lee’s account and the remaining $10 is shifted into her own account. Each night after that she makes the same monetary shifts. Using your calculators, have one group member model what happens to the balance in Carlotta’s account, one member model Lee’s account and the third member model Hollie’s account. Each member keeps their own record for a nightly bank balance. Showing all calculations, answer the following questions. * How many nights did Hollie work until Les had more money than Carlotta? * Hollie was arrested the night that Les’s balance first became more than twice Carlotta’s balance. How much was in Hollie’s account the night she was arrested?
