Re-launch of
2
Slide 1 We launched an initial product with an aspiration to create an ultra discreet pull-up product with Abena quality features of softness, breathability, top-dry system and leakage protection. Based on the input we have received from the initial markets where this so-called “High-Cut” model was launched, we have decided to make further enhancements to the product before doing a full-scale roll-out. The new final Abri-Flex product has an enhanced shape with strong references to the current Abri-Flex we have known for years, however a tighter and more secure fit. The core is performing equally well, however, is significantly more discreet. Finally, the softness and appearance makes the product more comfortable and visually more attractive for the end-user. The overall storyline of the Abri-Flex

Slide 3 ① The new Abri-Flex is Abena’s latest response to a discrete, top-quality pull-up for the active user, but can be of benefit for a wide range of customers. ② The new Abri-Flex features a new innovative 3D dual core system, which centers the absorbency to the parts of the product where is it most needed. ③ The new and optimized shape of the product, ensures security despite very active use and appears even more discrete and soft than before. It remains equally comfortable. ④ Premium quality features such as, Breathability,Top Dry, High Side Barriers, Quick Absorption and Odour control remains part of the product design for optimal use, security and comfort. ⑤ To align with user preferences, we have adjusted absorbencies. The level 1 products become lighter, the level 3 products become more absorbent. Following Abena’s principle of “as small as possible, but as large as necessary”, we have introduced a new level 2 with absorbency of 1900ml. Product Description

Slide 4 ① Changed the composition of SAP/fluff; more fluff is positioned in the large core to increase visual appearance. ② Increased width of the core by 2x7 mm, making it more leakage secure. ③ Reduced total length of the product by positioning the insert higher up in the chassis, making the leg opening smaller, giving it a better fit and more secure, minimizing the risk of leakage. ④ Changed the chassis construction back from the “3 piece system” to “1 non-stop Non-Woven” all the way through the product offering a better and tighter fit. ⑤ The lycra is drawn further down in the insert, to ensure that the product doesn’t move and remains close to the body. ⑥ The top of the product has a better visual finish with a fold-over of the outer non-woven. ⑦ Strong side welding with ultrasonic sealing technology giving a softer touch. Modifications and optimization compared to high-cut model

Slide 6 Core and Acquisition Distribution Layer (ADL) New Core Construction The new Dual Core technology is a way for positioning the absorbency where it is most needed. Inside the thin main core, the wrapped inner core is injected with absorbing material (SAP). The core construction of the new product has a larger proportion of SAP and less fluff. With Abena’s precision technology we inject more SAP in the exact spot, where most liquid should be absorbed, namely in the center of the core. Previously, core constructions have placed a larger portion of SAP throughout the entire outer layer. This will give: A more discrete product with no bulkiness to the front and back Full absorption precisely where needed Optimum protection and dryness Improved Top-Dry acquisition layer Top dry is the fluffy nonwoven material placed between the topsheet nonwoven and the core. In technical language it is called acquisition distribution layer (ADL). The purpose of this layer is to improve the ability of the product to absorb liquid faster and distribute it over a larger area. The layer is hydrophilic meaning that liquid can only pass through the layer and into the product, not the other way. This ensures that once the liquid has passed through the spreading layer, it is contained within the product and will be absorbed by a combination of fluff and SAP. We have substantially upgraded the quality of the ADL layer to ensure continued Top Dry – the Abena Quality feature where the product remains dry against the skin, avoiding skin irritation or dermatitis. The physical size of the spreading layer remains the same – both length and width.

Slide 7 Softness, comfort and optimized fit More lycra threads and optimized fit Most leakage situations occur when the product is not tight to the skin. It is therefore paramount to have a construction that fixates the product accurately in place – even during activity. The chassis construction of the new Flex with a “1 piece nonwoven” non-stop all the way through the product guarantees this optimized fit. Abena is already well-known in the market for having a soft product with a high number of lycra bands. The new product has additional lycra band, which gives a tight, active fit offering full discretion to the wearer. New Super Soft Nonwoven The new generation products have a super soft nonwoven on both the inside and on the outside of the chassis, which ensures optimum comfort and the feeling of wearing normal underwear. The ultrasonic sealing technology ensures further softness at the sides by the welding.

Slide 9 FSC ® Certified Wood pulp content of this product has been treated adhering to good forestry principles. The logo is a strong token for our green profile and strong focus on sustainability. Dermatologically Tested Contains no colorants, perfume or lotions. In collaboration with an external laboratory we have been testing the product to ensure that the product leaves no rash or dermatitis while in use. Not Nordic Swan Certified Generally the Abena Premium product series is Nordic Swan certified. The construction of the Abri-Flex has a higher share of synthetic and non-biodegradable raw materials (high no. of lycra) than what the Nordic Swan label can carry. The rest of the product however, is exactly as eco-friendly as the remainder series of the Premium selection. Environmental Labels
