A. The Renaissance 1.Spirit of curiosity (people were questioning things). 2.Studying the world around you (not just religion) is now accepted. 3.Interest in the scientific writings of the ancient Greeks and Romans (like Aristotle). 4.Printing press is invented

B. The Reformation 1. Luther challenged the Catholic Church on its ways….if you can question religion, you can question the world around you too. C. The Age of Exploration 1. Better navigational tools were needed to help explorers travel to new places → leads to more scientific discoveries.
