How to Enter & Update Item Location in TERMS (Bldg./Room/Offsite)

What is an Offsite? Property from one cost center (custodial cost center) housed at another location It is the responsibility of the custodial cost center on whose inventory this property is assigned, to keep accurate records of these item locations, including offsited equipment Who updates a location? Staff member(s) designated by administrator Staff member(s) must have taken Asset Transfer Class

How to enter & update an offsite Staff member signs into Terms Select “F” (Fixed Assets) on the Main screen

Select Menu “A”

Select panel #3

1. Type in your cost center 3. Press [Enter]. All selected (A or UT) cost center tagged items will appear 2. Type A for Active Fixed Assets or UT for Uncapitalized Technology Tip: If you have the serial number, enter, type in the number to bring up just that tag instead of all the inventory

Offsite column and BL-Room column will be highlighted for changes Select tag number to be updated and click in column 3. Type cost center in offsite column 4. Type new building & room number in BL-Room column

Press [F6] to update

Navigate to the A4 screen to confirm the location is correct

Success!! Location has been updated.
