3. BACKGROUND
Author: These are the very words of Jesus Christ as recorded by John.
The Recipients: Jesus’ followers
The target passage fits into the 5th category of the entire book of revelations dealing with The Messianic Kingdom
Context:
Pre: John has just been shown a wonderful vision of the river of life by an angel who warns John for wanting to worship it...the angel also sarcastically warns evil doers.
Post: Jesus says remarks to conclude the book of Revelations
Target passage: is a Big hint hint! To the wise!
(ie Ndakuno temha shamu/ I’m going to get the big wooden spoon)
BIG QUESTION IS;
1) AM I READY FOR JESUS’ RETURN?
2) ARE OTHERS AROUND ME READY FOR JESUS’ RETURN?
My Assignment this morning is 2 fold;
1)To encourage towards personal preparation.
2)To encourage towards workplace evangelism.

4. LORD JESUS IS COMING SOON & WILL REWARD PEOPLE’S WORK (Rev 22:12-13)
Behold I am coming!(v12a)
(Behold I am coming) soon! (v12b) CHINA/
JESUS HAS A REWARD FOR THE WORKS OF ALL
I am coming with a reward! (v12c)
I will reward everyone according to what he has done. (v12d) TITANIC PRIORITY/
JESUS IS THE ETERNAL LORD
I am the Alpha & the Omega (v13a)
the First & the Last. (v13b)
the Beginning & the End. (v13c) NO OTHER GOD
