Performance Improvement Goal }Goal: Decrease time between initial contact and assessment for Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient clients. }Implementation: Instead of scheduled appointments, walk-in appointments between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. for all clients from catchment area (1 to 1.5 hour drive to Portland). }Result: Decreased time between phone screen and assessment from 4 to 2 days.

Ramifications for Clients Increase in admissions to IOP by 3 Decrease between phone screen and assessment for scheduled appointments from 5 to 3 days Increased size of OSA waitlist (across all programs) from 23 to 30 clients Increase in number of phone screens from catchment area from 20 to 40 Increase in number of assessments from catchment area from 4 to 18
