4 Math Investigations Curriculum –Our math program is called “Investigations”. This program allows students to learn from hands-on activities. They will be learning many concepts such as patterns, geometry, computation, measurement, time, money, and addition & subtraction. Cathy Fosnot –Series of carefully crafted math situations to foster a deep conceptual understanding of essential mathematical ideas, strategies, and models. Dreambox –This is an online program used to help students develop number sense and basic math skills in a fun, technological way

7 Classroom Procedures Our Class Expectations Snack –Please send a healthy snack with your child each day. We are an allergy aware classroom. If you would like to send a “donation” to help supply our snack for students who do not have one, that would be wonderful! –Please pack the snack outside of the lunchbox Birthdays –We love to celebrate birthdays! Please feel free to send a treat in with your child. All birthday treats must be store bought. Please include enough treats for all 20 students. Also, please send me an email or note prior to sending a treat so I can plan accordingly.

8 Classroom Procedures Take Home Folders –Please check your child’s take home folder each night. If you have any messages for me, please send it in the take home folder. Book Orders –Book orders will be sent home once a month. You do not have to purchase any books! If you do decide to buy books, please send a CHECK payable to Scholastic Book Clubs or go online to scholastic.com/bookclubs and type in our class activation code
