2  What is Self- Esteem?  The way we see, feel, and think about ourselves  Do you think you have a high or low self esteem?

3 Where does self-esteem come from?  Self esteem develops from the time we are infants all the way up to adulthood  It is harder to change an adult’s self-esteem once it’s set  Important to grow in early years.. HOW?

4  Parental involvement is key  Self esteem can also be defined as feeling capable while also feeling loved  If you feel loved, but not capable– you may have low self esteem  If you feel capable, but not loved, low self esteem may occur
