2 Presenting/Organizing Data  Scientists organize their data by using tables and graphs  Visuals that make reading data, finding patterns or trends easier.

3 Graphs  3 major graphs:  Line graph  Bar graph  Pie graph

4 Line Graphs  Used best for displaying data that change over a range  Usually has 2 variables:  Independent: choose the intervals and usually made with the x-axis  Dependent: depends on what happens in the experiment and usually made with the y-axis

6 Bar Graphs  Useful when you want to compare data for several different individual items or events  Makes it clearer how large or small the difference in individual values are
