Negative result of ,30 € is due to a concurrence of exceptional circumstances:
Loss of main sponsor IBM, restricting users group support all over Europe
Incidental costs involved with an extra meeting for the creation of ADLUG as an unincorporated association
Costs due to a successful action during the Annual Meeting in P.A.
in order to reduce travel costs for the participants (free airport pick-up service from Catania to P.A. and return)
Actions (at least for the current year) :
Simultaneous translation at the Annual Meeting suspended
Board winter meeting replaced by e-contacts
Other cost reductions under investigation
These actions should result in a yearly gain of approx ,00 €
and repair the yearly balance

ADLUG Official Languages
The language of the presentations should be in English by preference.  
For the first time there will be no simultaneous translation.  
Suggestion:
It is in general not necessary to speak slowly but it is useful to pause briefly after a sentence, and somewhat longer before starting a new topic.
This will improve significantly the understanding for a non-native English speaking audience!
