2. DIALE in the nutshell The goal of the DIALE project is to develop the competence of trainers, teachers, teacher trainers and in-company trainers in dialogue through concrete methods. Practical operations: –Translation of deep learning through a dialogue web service (EN) –Developing concrete methods in dialogue (4 sub-groups) –Piloting and testing the developed methods –Planning the training program for the development of competence in dialogue

Background of innovation In Search of Dialogue: Developing Dialogue for Communication and Information Technological Environment (Aarnio, 1999, Dissertation) DIANA (Dialogical Authentic NetLearning Activity), a model of learning and teaching in web-based learning environment (Aarnio & Enqvist, 2001, in a national research-project VETO) Deep Learning through Dialogue -web-service (Aarnio, Enqvist, Sukuvaara et al, 2008)

Background of innovation The content of Deep Learning through Dialogue -web-service is based on the results of the researches Actually the whole classification of dialogical competence and dialogical actions were created on the ground of our earlier researches The competence of dialogue was divided in four parts that have central role in learning dialogue

5. Dialogue as a form of conversation Dialogue differs from everyday discussion. Dialogue is not mere talk. Dialogue meets several scientific preconditions in which case we talk about ”deep dialogue”. By training subskills you are able to learn deep dialogue.
