Key Stage Components The District Technology Plan will support and foster the development of a technology enabled environment as well as help to maintain a focus on LAUSD priorities and chief initiatives.

Stage 1 - Foundation Building l Development of LAUSDnet l Provided Instructional Technology Applications Facilitators (ITAF) in each cluster l Increase number of Digital High Schools l Plan instructional technology strategies l Align E-Rate and Bond BB initiatives

Stage 2 - Technology Integration l Professional Development Programs –Application of technology to enhance instruction l Integration of wide-area and local-area networks l Consolidation of district information systems

Stage 3 - Universal Technology l Technology used as a tool to: –Enhance students’ ability to use reading and mathematics skills –Effectively prepare students for the workplace and for “lifelong learning” –Receive timely information to design effective student learning strategies –Communicate!
