Summary Report Project Name: Interface Library Project (ILP)
Brief Project Description: The Interface Library Project will establish a library, and appropriate services, of reusable, open source interfaces developed as part of various Health Information Exchange projects. ILP will identify early adopters and develop model contract language that will urge vendors responding to RFPs to participate in the ILP. In later stages, services will be provided to assist purchasers in identifying available resources in the ILP and to coordinate with vendors that can provide customization services. Major milestones to date Establishment of Executive Steering Committee Interest or commitments from over 12 states Confirmed ONC public support Received grant funding from RTI Held ILP Workshop in PA with participation from HIE vendors, State HIEs and RECs Developed use case document Projected milestones Submit governance structure to RTI – October 2012 Submit Final Report to RTI – October 2012 Develop Interface Repository – February 2013
