Additional considerations There needs to be adequate support, coaching, assessment and reporting to validate the process Together with the 250 umpires, were 40+ technical delegates and umpire managers

An entry point is needed for ‘late bloomers’ Eg Championship tournaments, school tournaments and masters

Success stories Its not coincidence that trained officials end up ‘head boy or girl.’ Officiating teaches: –Time management –Interpersonal skills –Communication –Conflict management –Confidence –Motivation
