Child Labor and GAP GAP is a clothing store with many locations all over the world. In 2008 GAP, has confessed the use of child slave workers in a factory located in India. The children were made to believe they were going through a training process to make clothes and were not paid at all. The company made a statement that they were not going to sell any of the clothing that was made by children in India. A GAP sweatshop is still open in Shahpur Jat. This sweat shop has been raided multiple times by officers and every time they find more abused children working. Gap has finally just pledged to spend $200,000 in India to improve the work conditions.

Ethics Any type of slave labor at any time is unethical and sadly could be used for an operations function. The people of GAP behaved unethically by allowing child labor to take place in their company and only so they could make more money for themselves. Sadly, the business world is being polluted by unethical behavior and it is partially the consumers fault because they still continue to buy the products.
