Grades Final grades will be calculated as follows: Assessments 20% Binder/Portfolio 20% Classroom 20% Additional Assignments 20% Final Exam/Midterm 20%

Always: Be on time and working when the tardy bell rings. Respect others in the classroom work as a team. Use your account to support schoolwork. Backup important files to the server and/or a CD Treat the equipment with extreme care! You will be assigned one computer for the duration of the semester. If it is found to be damaged and/or in any way vandalized your grade will be adversely affected and you may be held financially responsible. Honor fair use guideline. While using the Internet and computer systems, be polite, use appropriate language, avoid giving anyone personal information, and do not participate in illegal activities. Note that excellent student work will be exhibited as an exemplar on the website or intranet. Clean up the lab station at the end of the period. Inform the instructor if any piece of lab equipment fails to perform properly.

Never Play games not directly related to an assignment. Transmit or access copyrighted material, threatening, or inappropriate material. Change display or control settings, unless directed by Mrs. Johnson. Access or create inappropriate web sites. Use chat rooms, e-mail, and/or download any programs without permission. Use the school network for commercial business, advertisement, or political lobbying. Install software unless directed by Mrs. Johnson. Share your password or use another individual’s password. Vandalize, harm, or destroy data, accounts, hardware, or software associated with Mt. Vernon.
