MoPTA The Missouri Pre-Service Teacher Assessment (MoPTA) is required for certification by the state of Missouri for candidates seeking teaching certification and is aligned with Missouri's Teacher Standards and Quality Indicators. Taken during clinical experience, MoPTA assesses instructional capability prior to receiving a license. The assessment contains four tasks requiring written commentary and submission of required documentation, called artifacts. Task 1 is formative in nature. Tasks 2, 3 and 4 are summative. A video of the student teaching experience is required as one of the components for Task 4.
