Physicians, secondary providers, health care professionals and their staff use the P-Scribe Viewer to retrieve, view, edit, export, print or interface documents from their local or networked computers. The program is designed to be user friendly and requires minimal instruction for use. Customized security levels and Password-protected access secure patient information to match HIPPA and HITECH guidelines.

Customization P-Scribe allows the user multiple options to customize their Inbox and Archive screen. Custom options are available for all functions associated with document management. 1.Ability to magnify or reduce text view. 2.Filters can be created to sort documents by author/report type, or any demographic. 3.Archive/export can automatically occur when a document is printed or edited. 4.Envelopes/carbon copies can be auto-printed on request setting. 5.Approving documents is quick and streamlined, and multiple options exist to fit your best workflow. 6.Providers can set options to view only their documents in the Inbox but maintain access to the entire facility in the Archive. 7.Electronic text/time and date stamp created specifically for each user on approved documents. 8.Medical Records/Coding/Billing Staff can access all documents (based on security level), or only their specific providers. Any customization by the user is retained for the next session when you exit the program.

Demographics appear in Red and edits will update matching demographic fields throughout the document. Documents are edited by placing your cursor in the text and overtyping or removing text. Logos, fonts, signatures, normals, margins, and format are customized by ICDS for each client, for each provider.

Reports that require attention are marked in pink with a note provided for quick reference (Author QA). Reports that require additional demographics, pending lab values or clarification can be routed directly to medical records staff for editing before release to a provider, EHR import, or prior to fax (ADMIN QA).

REJECT: Returns the file to the ICDS QA team for revision. FAX: Initiate an immediate fax. PLAY: Playback the matching voice file.

P-Scribe Archive is the repository for documents that have been moved from the Inbox. Searches can be initiated by Job#, Medical Record #, Patient Last or First Name, Author ID, or specific Text in any past report. Partial searches with just a few characters are allowed. Date Range options can be set as Visit Date, Hard Copy, Transcribe Date or Dictate Date. Quick search options allow you to easily search TODAY, a YEAR, a WEEK or a MONTH prior. In addition, P-Scribe supports a full HELP index, available here in the Search Screen or in the Main P-Scribe Menu.
