SVP-Pure™ Process Description
78% Sulfuric acid and Purate™ solution (mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide and Sodium Chlorate) are fed into a tubular reactor. The exothermal reaction raises the temperature to 40ºC - 80ºC. Vacuum is created by a water loop that flows through an eductor and the formed gaseous Chlorine Dioxide is drawn out from the reactor. Purate™ solution Chemical composition Stability and reactivity
40% NaClO3 + 8% H2O2 Stability and reactivity Strong oxidizing agent. Liberate oxygen when heated. Materials and chemicals to avoid Contaminants, like metals and organic material, may accelerate hydrogen peroxide decomposition into oxygen and cause an increase in pressure. Purate™ solution Conditions to avoid Handling Storage Heat
UV-radiation Increased pH. pH > 4 may accelerate decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Handling Personal protection equipment should be used. Avoid contact with skin, splash in the eyes and inhalation of vapor. Storage Storage in reinforced fiber glass, AISI 316 or PEHD tanks. Separated from other uncompatible chemicals.
