6. SVP-Pure™ Process Description
78% Sulfuric acid and Purate™ solution (mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide and Sodium Chlorate) are fed into a tubular reactor.
The exothermal reaction raises the temperature to 40ºC - 80ºC.
Vacuum is created by a water loop that flows through an eductor and the formed gaseous Chlorine Dioxide is drawn out from the reactor.
The Chlorine Dioxide gas immediately absorbs in the water creating a ClO2 solution.

Stability and reactivity
Strong oxidizing agent. Liberate oxygen when heated.
Materials and chemicals to avoid
Contaminants, like metals and organic material, may accelerate hydrogen peroxide decomposition into oxygen and cause an increase in pressure.
Textile, cellulose or leather contaminated by Purate™ are inflammable.
Strong acids react violently with Purate™with the formation of toxic and explosive gases.

Increased pH. pH > 4 may accelerate decomposition of hydrogen peroxide.
Handling
Personal protection equipment should be used.
Avoid contact with skin, splash in the eyes and inhalation of vapor.
