3. Booking Up the Summer with Reading: Grant The Reading Recovery department submitted & received a grant to NEF. As a result, all students completing Reading Recovery will receive a set of books to read over the summer. In addition parents will be offered a training opportunity to help support their child’s reading.

RECORDING YOUR CHILD’S READING A recording of your child’s reading will be emailed to you prior to the end of the school year. This will give you an idea of how your child’s reading sounds. At the beginning of the 2013 school year your child will read the same text and that recording will be sent to you by email. You can use these two recordings to compare how their fluency has changed over the summer.
