Conflict Resolution
3
What is Conflict? People often disagree about ideas and issues. Sometimes when people disagree with each other or their government, there is conflict. A conflict is a strong disagreement. Taxes are one issue that often causes conflict between government and citizens. The government needs to collect taxes to pay for goods and services. People often feel their taxes are too high for the services they receive.conflict

Resolving Conflicts When there is a conflict, it is important to find a way to solve it. The best way to solve a conflict is to work together. First, people should identify the conflict. Then they should calmly talk about it, saying how they feel and explaining why. They should listen to one another and try to understand why others think as they do. Then everyone can cooperate to find a solution.
6
Compromise Often the best solution is a compromise. In a compromise, each side gives something up to reach an agreement that works for everyone. No one gets everything they want in a compromise. Everyone gets some part, though, so no one completely wins and no one completely loses.
