Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Born: Jun 28, Died: Jul 02, 1778 Jean-Jacques Rousseau was a Genevan philosopher, writer, and composer of the 18th century. His political philosophy influenced the French Revolution as well as the overall development of modern political, sociological, and educational thought. He wrote 'The Social Contract' - his most important work, and 'Eloise' - a popular romantic novel that Rousseau was best known for during his life. Jean-Jacques Rousseau was also a composer of 7 Operas, including The Cunning Man, The Village Toothsayer, and more.
