3 Questions about the contiguity principle… The information in this chapter makes a lot of sense and is pretty clear and logical. However, I notice that the studies used by this textbook, in this chapter, are from some years ago, some even back in the 1980’s. None are any more recent that 2005. I am wondering if the results of these studies, if conducted today, would be any different. I don’t doubt that these principles have an impact on learning, but would they have as much impact on learning as they did before computers were a commodity. People are raised on computers now, used to multitasking with multiple windows open on their computer screen and information (and sound) coming from multiple locations.
