3 Classroom rules Be in time Be prepared(pencil box, binder, lap top, your agenda, and your French notebook) Follow directions quickly Raise your hands for permission to speak or to leave your seat. be respectful of others and their property. your lap top is for French purposes during French class. Make your dear teacher happy.

4 Goal of the class Students must be able to communicate effectively in the French language by developing skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. They also will gain knowledge and understanding of other French speaking countries.

5 Homework policy  All of their homework assignments will be On the whiteboard In their agendas On Haiku. Homework will be once or twice a week. They have to turn in homework in the basket on my desk. It will be graded and returned to them in the basket near their workbook stacks. Homework are 25% and will be graded between 10 and 20 points.

6 CPR Projects They will have to do a total of 4 projects throughout the year. They will have 1 month before the due date. Projects are 250 points and 25% of the overall grade.

7 Tests and quizzes There will be quizzes after each lesson, and a test after each chapter or unit. Tests and quizzes are 25% of the overall grade. Test are worth about 100 points. Quizzes are worth about 25 points.

8 Textbooks and workbooks 6 th and 7 th grades will be using “T’es branché1”. 8 th grade will be using “T’es branché 2”. Extra practice in workbook.

9 Weekly routine Monday: vocabulary words and function. Tuesday: authentic, up-to-date filmed dialogue. Wednesday: grammar and structure. Thursday: strategies for speaking. Friday: review/ workbook/ movie/games.
