Housekeeping Change of clothes in backpack Sweater Lunch money – send in labeled baggie/envelope with child’s number Tardy – “8:20 am” Klein ISD allows 3, then conduct grade goes down one grade

Transportation All Kindergarteners are released at 3:15. Walkers – released at mod door to parents/parents please be on time. 3:15 Car Rides front sidewalk, 3:15 –Bus riders If any changes in transportation please send a note and call front office

Our Schedule 8:00-8:15 School Begins 8:20 Tardy 8:15-8:50 ELA Big group lessons (Calendar etc) 9:05-10:00 Art/Music/P.E. 10:00-10:45 Reading groups/Book Boxes or Writer’s Workshop-bathroom before lunch 10:51-11:26 Lunch 11:30-11:45 Finish morning work 11:45-1:00 Math/Science/ Soc. Studies 1:00-1:30 Recess 1:30-2:00 Quiet Time “Educational Videos” Pulling kids one on one if needed 2:00-2:45 Writer’s Workshop/Book Boxes/(Reading Groups or indiv. help)/Workstations/Centers 2:45-3:05 Get ready to go home 3:05-3:15 Dismissal Library – Wed. ????

Volunteer Background check – cannot be a volunteer until background check is cleared – takes a while Sign in at the front office – bring your ID Class readers, parties, teacher helper (Homework folders, cutting, pasting, helps get materials ready for instruction)

Grading Guidelines E—above grade level and expectations S- on grade level, doing great N- needs to improve or develop in areas – more practice at home U- unacceptable progress
