2. The PowerBlock – Talon, is a Power Lock Out Device for your Aircraft or any vehicle that uses a MS25182-2 Battery Connector i.e.. Elcon BD6-3 or Rebling 7007-2 Current Procedure for many operators is to disconnect the Battery Connectors and Secure the Tailcone or Battery Compartment Door. This serves a purpose of removing the availability of Power to the Aircraft or Vehicle, but if a person of ill intent has already defeated the vehicles locks and has access, then what?

3. The IAS PowerBlock-Talon, provides an added layer of security to your Aircraft – Vehicle that hasn’t been available before. The IAS PowerBlock – Talon, provides this added layer of security by preventing the easy re-connection of power to the Aircraft – Vehicle, by Encapsulating and Capturing the Vehicles electrical connectors and inhibiting their use. The Talons current design achieves this by capturing the Connector, it does not interface directly with any wearable component of the connector or vehicle battery. The Talon, by design, is an effective piece of Security Equipment in your Aircrafts Fly-Away kit.

4. Installation is Easy The Talon can be installed on practically any configuration connector, either 2,3 or 4 or more wires from either or both sides in combination. And, by design, the Talon can be installed several ways on the connector depending on your wiring configuration and space considerations. For our purposes in this installation we are using a 2 wire Installation as a demo. Step 1, first and foremost is to install the provided protective battery protective cap.

9. The PowerBlock – Talon, is available in 3 different kits depending on the size of your aircraft. More importantly, the Number of Battery's you have installed on your particular model Aircraft, that you need secured.

12. A little info on the IAS PowerBlock - Talon The Talon is Milled from a Solid Block of 7075-T6 Aluminum. Preproduction Demo Unit is anodized in Red, Production Units will be in a Red Hard Anodize process for durability, and for its non-conductive properties. The Lock Pin and Cylinder Assy. is T-316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel The Lock Mechanism is custom built for us with all Medeco Components. All materials and manufacturing are from the U.S. The Case is Manufactured by Pelican Case for us, it is a Heavy Duty, High Visibility, Polymer Case that is Watertight, Airtight and has a pressure equalization valve to prevent any issues in flight. Each Talon Kit is serialized and the Corresponding Medeco Lock set key code is registered to that kit and aircraft. Strict management of affected kits key codes will be maintained. No Duplicates will be made or distributed without verification and authorization from the aircraft / kit owner. The Talon Kits will come standard with Medeco 5 pin keysets.
