Incentives/Policies for Efficiency Federal Tax Incentives – Business Energy Investment Tax Credit (ITC) 30% tax credit for solar and small wind 10% for geothermal – Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) 5 year depreciation schedule. Bonus depreciation for 2008 and 2009 allowed 50% depreciation in 1 st year. This program may be extended. – Energy Efficient Commercial Building Tax Deduction Up to $1.80/sqft depending on technology and energy reduction.

Incentives/Policies for Efficiency Utility Rebates/Incentives – OPPD - $50/ton up to $200 maximum per unit Utility rebate for Heat Pumps plus favorable rate structure. – MUD - $100 Utility rebate for 92% efficient gas furnaces.
