3 Jointly build a more efficient chain and sharing the benefits on a equal way… Assess the full supply chain (from production to shelf) and identify area’s for optimization to implement the most efficient and effective supply chain *Preparation *Warehousing *Transport *Stock levels Reduce complexity – especially in promotions Less assortment/shelf plan reviews ( 1 per year with 1-2 minor optimisations) Reduce assortments (duplications) Reduce complexity (in all ways)

4 Enable innovation Innovation drives market growth, profit and differentiation More & bigger innovation Remove all blockers & cost of innovation No listing fees & additional costs Longer periods of guaranteed listing Less copying (reduces total value)

5 Co-operate on data availability & data transparency Efficient use of shoppers data Better data exchange to reduce cost & create value Improve transparency with Nielsen (e.g. absolute data, PL detail) Data awareness in the market (data sources connection)

6 Organise a common political lobby Efficient communication to authorities Increase Belgian competitivity – cross border sales Lower salary costs More flexible social laws Harmonised VAT & other taxes

7 Find the right balance between revenue growth management (for the whole industry) while ensuring respect of mutual engagements and legal framework Breaches of the Supply Chain Initiative Protection against power abuse of buying groups …
