A cell is the very smallest unit of living matter.
All living things, including plants and animals, are made up of cells.

Chloroplasts – green bits which contain chlorophyll for photosynthesis.

Cell membrane – lets substances such as dissolved gasses in and out of the cell.
Vacuole – A space inside the cell filled with a watery liquid. This helps the cell to keep its shape.

Cell wall – a tough, supporting wall made from cellulose. It’s like a cardboard box surrounding the cell. It helps the cell keep its shape.

Nucleus– acts like the brain of the cell. Where all the information is held.
