3. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, algae, and some bacteria use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to produce carbohydrates and oxygen. This is how Energy from the Sun enters an ecosystem Every living organism depends on this transfer of energy from the Sun either directly or indirectly as a source of food.
