On These Things: 1) Organization and planning: Do they use their binder to keep track of work and notes Do they use an agenda book to keep track of important due dates for assignments Grades: check Ed-line once a week. Check your child’s attendance: absences and lateness.

1 Do some practice problems 2 Go over old homework and work on answers you do not know 3. Make flashcards and study key terms & concepts 4. Reread textbook & notes 5. Parent – ask your child on whether they are seeking help for answers they do not know.

It is a 30 minute period, two times a week where students can get academic support within the school day.

» Get help from teachers (make-up assignments, take/retake quizzes and tests, work on projects, enrichment activities…) » Attend seminars and workshops » Work on projects in the media center » Get a start on homework » Catch up on reading

» Listen to morning announcements to know which workshops are being offered » Trojan News Bulletin Boards – flyers advertising upcoming seminars/workshops » Sign up with your SHOWTime teacher or in the Media Center if it’s a seminar or workshop. You will receive a yellow pass.

» Ask teachers at least a day in advance and get a yellow pass from him/her » Show the pass to 4 th period teacher » Sign-out in the SHOWTime binder in 4 th period class » When SHOWTime starts, students report to their destination and stay there the entire time » Give the pass to the SHOWTime teacher/staff member

Reminders... » In order to be in the hallway, students will be expected to have a SHOWTime pass (yellow pass) » If students are staying in their 4th period class, they need to be working on assignments » Use SHOWTime to attend seminars and workshops » Get help from teachers
