SharePoint 2013 introduces new application-based functionality for adding content objects such as Document Libraries, Lists,etc. as well as new applications available from various sources including the new SharePoint store. In this session we will highlight how to use this new functionality including configuring access to the SharePoint store for your farm.

3. Adding Apps to your SharePoint site Use the ”Gear” icon in the upper right corner to add an application

4. Select an application template to add to your site. Configuration of the new item is similar to SharePoint

5. New store-based apps may utilize additional configuration screens for management

6. Central Admin has an additional menu choice for Apps

8. Select the app you want from the SharePoint store

9. In order to download items from the store you must have an active Microsoft account

10. Measuring application activity

11. Network configuration. Create a new domain for apps. Add an alias pointing to the SharePoint server. Reference this domain in the app url configuration
