Alternative energy source Our alternative energy source is wind power. An alternative energy source is a source that dose not harm the environment and is renewable
3
How it Works The blades in the turbine spin and that turns a gear. The gear turns other gears that turns the generator which creates energy. There is also a gear that turns it into the wind.
4
Disadvantages Some pollutants are given off into the atmosphere in the creation of a wind turbine. Many people feel that wind turbines are unsightly and that they should not disrupt the natural beauty of landscapes.
5
Advantages of Wind power Wind is free and in abundance. The costs for wind turbines are only initial costs. The space which a wind turbine takes up on land is very small as the moving parts are quite a distance above the ground. Wind turbines produce energy with minimal damage to the worlds environment and produces "clean power".
6
Why we chose wind power. It’s renewable and will definitely be here forever. We don’t have to pay for wind. There also non-polluting and efficient. It helps reduce Global Warming. The wind turbines can effectively generate energy for free as long as wind is available.
7
Conclusion Wind is free but fossil fuels aren’t. We will always have wind but fossil fuels will eventually run out. Once the wind turbine have been built the power is free were as fossil fuels aren’t.
