4.  Combined class this year.  Curriculum blending  Class taught in AP style with revised activities for non AP students materials: Imaginez, le français sans frontiers Imaginez Student activities manual Barron’s AP French Language and Culture Exam (AP students only) Trending: -AP format assessments interpretive interpersonal presentational -immersion in the classroom (little by little) *working heavily on communicative activities & circumlocution

5.  Grading scale!  20% formative (homework, participation, classwork, practice, etc.)  80% summative (tests, quizzes, oral assessments, projects, etc.)  Push AP Mondays  Push for College/University Prep.  Novels!  Film Study

6. French club will have 2-3 events per semester. Events will be planned by the Leadership Team.  Previous activities: ◦ Movie nights ◦ Fund raisers ◦ Cooking classes (at CLS) ◦ French restaurant visits ◦ (travel abroad, not this year)

7. March 2016!  Still time to register for our trip!  Price goes up $75 October 1st  OCT 27th = 150 days out (no payment plan due date)  DEC 6th= 110 days outs (final due date)  March 26th-April 2 nd

8.  Encourage the use of French at home! (Make them count or say the date, time, or identify objects in French!)  Encourage use of vocab cards, you can practice together! (Or… there’s an app for that!)  Encourage extra practice- see my website!my website
