2 2 Part 2b: Local Server Configuration and Set-up Note: All NTS logins are held by your local NTS administrator, contact them for the user names and passwords (anything labeled “Entry #1”, “Entry #2”, “Entry #3”, etc.)

3 3 Set Local Server NTS Software From the Desktop GUI (Graphic User Interface) Select Desktop is presented

4 4 Set Local Server NTS Software 1.Click NTS Setup Icon on Desktop to open Setup Screen below. (See previous slide) Go to step 8. Note: Steps 1 through 7 were already completed during the Software Download. Go to step 8.

5 5 2.Put in Entry #5 Set Local Server NTS Software 3.Select Set OIC Password 4.Select OK in the next pop-up. Note: A DOS screen may also pop-up temporarily but disappears. 5.Again, Select OK in the second pop- up

6 6 10. 2. 2. 1 6.Select NTS 4 Local Server. 7.Write down IP address displayed. This is Local Server’s IP address and needs to be entered later during Workstation setup. Set Local Server NTS Software

9 9 Setting Up Local Server Note: “Administrator” access required to perform this task. After laptop restarts… IF the screen below appears, AGAIN… THEN…

11 11 Setting Up Local Server Note: “Administrator” access required to perform this task. 1.When “warning banner” appears, on keyboard, press and hold Shift then Enter. The NTS Log-in pops up. 2.Put Entry #1 for “user name” and Entry #2 for the “password” (get from NTS admin) 3. Select OK.

13 13 Operator Log-in 1.When “warning banner” appears, on keyboard, press Enter. The ETS Log-in pops up. Note: “Enter” is Operator’s Mode vs “Shift/Enter” is Admin Mode. 2.When ETS loads a.Put Entry #5 for “user ID” and Entry #6 for “password” b.Select Login

14 14 Configure Local Server Download Location Lists Data 1.Select NTS for applicable Program Mode. Connect phone and insert DMDC validated CAC Configure Server/Data Transfer page displays. Do not change any Data Transfer Settings unless explicitly directed by DMDC or Site Administrator. Note: “Operator” access required to perform this task.

15 15 Configure Local Server Download Location Lists Data 2.Select Download in Evacuation Section. 3.Download from Central Server message box appears. 4.Connect Modem. Note: See Modem Configuration Section on the following slides.

19 19 Configure Local Server Download Location Lists Data Connect Modem to DMDC Central Server Upon a successful connection, you will see the Modem icon at the lower right of your screen...then Connection may take a few moments

20 20 Configure Local Server Download Location Lists Data After selecting OK, a prompt to enter CAC PIN appears. Note: If blue/white progress indicator stays in motion for 30 seconds or more…and there’s no activity, press Alt+Tab to check for Java icon. This is a prompt to insert CAC or enter your PIN. On initial download attempts, or after computer re-started, this message ‘hides’ in background and user must click Alt+Tab to locate and bring forward. If not… press Alt Tab

If communications are already established, DO NOT check Initialize modem communications box. Select OK

Registration computer “mirrors” Local Server’s location data, and picked up through secure wireless comms. 13.Select ECC or site’s location and click Save. Next screen appearing is the Welcome OIC screen. Local Server is now ready for operations.
