2. Instructions Today you will use the following slides to practice multiplication using the box method. Remember that with the box method, you break your number into it’s place value and solve for each part. Show your work on a separate piece of paper. You will turn it in at the end of class. Refer to your notes or this page if you have any questions!

3. Question 1: Our class bought 24 tickets to the Discovery Place. Each ticket cost $27. How much did the tickets cost the class in all?

4. Question 2: There are 52 weeks in a year. If Samantha runs 12 miles every week, how many miles will she run in a year?

5. Question 3: There are 124 guests at a Wolf Meadow fundraising activity. Each guest donates $85 to the school. How much money will the school raise?

6. Question 4: My mom just started working at a new factory. She will make 715 toys per day. If she works 5 days per week, how many toys will she make in 3 weeks?

7. CHALLENGE: At top speed, a space shuttle can move as fast as 7,860 meters per second. At this rate, how many meters can it travel in a minute?
