2 Introduction Environmental awareness is about being conscious of the world around you. Having concern for the world and the environment is what environmental awareness is all about Living a 'green' lifestyle is the main concern of environmental awareness. you have to work toward protecting the natural environment from destruction or pollution.

3 Environment : You hear about ” the environment ”nearly every day. Somebody is usually saying sum thing about the environment ,whether it about waste energy, or climate change and urging you use to do something.

4 Definition Environmental awareness: is the awareness of the things around as.

5 Our work may impact on the land, air, water, and people
Positive or negative ways In direct direct Pollution

6 Types of pollution: 1-chemical 2- oil spillages
A-Water Pollution from: 1-chemical 2- oil spillages

7 Types of pollution: :Air Pollution 1-from boilers etc.
2-vehicle emissions

8 Types of pollution: :Soil Pollution 1-from chemical/ oil spillages 2-Incorrect disposal of waste

9 Things to do to save the environment
Sort out your rubbish less energy Recycle. Park the car Plant a tree.

10 Bike or Walk More, Drive Less and Drive Smart
Less driving means fewer emissions. Besides saving gasoline, walking and biking are great forms of exercise. Explore your community mass transit system, and check out options for carpooling to work or school. When you do drive, make sure your car is running efficiently. For example, keeping your tires properly inflated can improve your gas mileage by more than 3 percent. Every gallon of gas you save not only helps your budget, it also keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide .out of the atmosphere

11 :Plant a Tree If you have the means to plant a tree, start digging. During photosynthesis, trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. They are an integral part of the natural atmospheric exchange cycle here on Earth, but there are too few of them to fully counter the increases in carbon dioxide caused by automobile traffic, manufacturing and other human activities. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime.

12 Saving water Check for leaks.. If your faucets drip, get them fixed. Turn off the water when you're not using it. Install low-flow toilets. Take shorter showers

13 Use reusable bottles for water
Recycle Recycle all you can Use reusable bottles for water Avoid using disposable items Don't waste food Avoid using plastic whenever you can

14 Saving energy Switch off anything that uses electricity. If you're not using it, turn it off. Run your air conditioner sparingly or not at all Trade in your dryer for a good old-fashioned clothesline Use renewable energy sources.

15 Sort out your rubbish: Involve your kids in the recycling. Even
very young kids can learn to separate the paper, glass and plastics. Explain why you take the time to recycle, then follow up with a trip.

16  What is the Need for Environmental Awareness?
Environmental Awareness is important because it helps to spread environment education, especially in the non-formal system between different sections of the society. It also facilitates the development of education or training materials and aids in the official education area.

refers to organized efforts to teach about all efforts to how natural environments function and, especially, how human beings can manage their behavior and ecosystems in order to live sustainably. The term is often used to imply education within the school system, from primary to post-secondary. However, it is sometimes used more broadly to include educate the public

18 Environmental awareness through school:
1-More Ideas for Observing Nature 2-Using Globes and Maps 3-respect new discoveries 4- respectful observation of the life around us.

19 Summary The definition of the environment is “ everything that surrounds us, everything made of the water , the air or the land, including ourselves. “the environment consists of land, air, water and people.
