1. GSS is a spreadsheet for manipulating and plotting geochemical data. Right-click to convert units.

2. + analyte → Calculate... Enter chemical data for one or more samples, then use GSS to calculate additional analytes.

3. Variable → Mineral saturation... Calculated Mineral saturation appears below original data for each sample. Choose minerals

4. CO 2 (g) fugacity is added to the analytes section. Compute gas fugacities

5. Check for charge balance and figure TDS

6. Figure redox state for every redox pair

7. Select species Figure aqueous species distribution

8. Choose samples to compare and enter error tolerance. Compare replicate samples with themselves or with a standard. Enter data for each sample then go to Analysis...

9. Check marks indicate a small coefficient of variance between replicates. X's appear where the error tolerance is exceeded.

10. Display your data in Time Series and XY Plots Graphs → Time Series Plot

11. Analyze samples using standard water chemistry diagrams. Graphs → Piper Diagram
