GETTING STARTED 1.Open Access 2.Select: Blank Desktop Database 1.Click Once 2.Name the Database 3.Save to E-Disk 3.Change View to: Design 1.Name Your Table

CREATING THE TABLE 1.Primary Key 1.MUST BE UNIQUE: Use Survey # 2.Field Name 1.The Name of Your Categories 2.Ex. Age, Gender, Question #1, Etc. 3.Data Type 1.What is Allowed to Be Entered 2.Ex. Number, Yes/No, Text, Etc.

ENTERING THE DATA 1.Change View to Datasheet 1.Select yes when Asked to Save 2.Enter Data 1.Primary Key Can Never Be Left Blank 2.Be Consistent 1.Ex. Words, Spelling, Etc. 2.Queries Will NOT Work if There are Errors! 3.Use the Tab Key to Move Through Columns
