4 4 What is CIRCABC? Is a service managed and provided by DIGIT Under IDABC (now ISA) framework http://ec.europa.eu/isa http://ec.europa.eu/isa CIRCABC is used to create collaborative workspaces where communities of users can work together over the web and share information and resources. This multilingual application offers distribution and management of documents in any format, with fined grained security.

6 6 What is CIRCABC? CIRCABC contains Content Management & Communication functionalities User management features Collaborative groups, so-called « interest groups »

7 7 Access to CIRCABC (ECAS) Internal and External user can get into CIRCABC through ECAS. External user should change the domain

The Library is the place where the documents are stored, shared and managed This service is made of spaces & content Any space can contain sub-spaces & content Users with role Lib-admin, Lib-fulledit or Lib- Manageown can create spaces and add content into the Library

19 19 Visit the Library: What is it? The spaces are structured like the Library itself

20 20 Visit the Library: What is it? You can perform different actions depending on your role in the Library

21 21 Look at the properties of a document you may see some properties from the main page of the library, depending on how the leaders have configured the library

24 24 Visit the Library Download a document by e-mail You can download by e-mail from the “content” pane or from the properties of the document

31 31 Recover deleted documents The deleted spaces or documents can be recovered You can select a location where to recover the item. Otherwise it will be recovered to its original place.

33 33 Notifications Define your notification : - in the current space or forum - in the whole Library or Newsgroup

37 37 Provides useful information about the current Interest Group. ‘Mini-website’ as content of the ‘information’ service Information

38 38 Other services Where members can schedule events and meetings. Where members can launch surveys (coming soon) Gives an overview of the members of the current interest group. To perform system administration functions.

46 46 CIRCABC Open Source Software An OSS (Open Source Software) version of CIRCABC is available for public administrations, businesses and citizens of the European Union. It contains the same functionalities as the version used in the Commission. The OSS version is available on OSOR at: http://forge.osor.eu/projects/circabc
