How does Smarter Balanced differ from DSTEP ELA will include writing and listening Performance tasks Constructed response and technology enhanced Accommodations built into the test Starting 2014-15 the test will be adaptive College readiness Score reports based on claims for the content area

Getting ready Scheduling –A minimum of 5 days needed –March 18 – May 16 Logging in –Test sessions set up prior to start –Secure login –Students will use state id numbers –Accommodations need to be set up ahead of time
