4. “Early College Experience” Initiative (Grades 9-12) Give every LAUSD student the chance to take college courses and earn college credit or credit towards a career/technical certificate while in grades 9-12 Give students personal experience of academic standards associated with college-level work Offer students the opportunity to experience post- secondary college study and workforce training programs Help students develop critical study skills required for success in higher education

5. “LA College Connections” Initiative (Grades 11-12) Aims to provide admission and other matriculation services to all LAUSD 12 th graders Provide students in 11 th grade an overview of the college admissions process Inform students about the costs of attending college and help navigate the financial aid application process Guarantee all LAUSD seniors have the opportunity to admission to a LACCD college Offer assessment, placement, college planning and registration services to all LAUSD seniors
