2 What is a line? Line- a straight path in a plane that goes on forever in opposite directions Example: line AB or line BA

A line is perpendicular to another, if it meets or crosses it at right angles (90°).

A part of a line that includes two points, called endpoints, and all of the points between them Example: line segment AB  or line segment BA

9 What is a ray?  ray A part of a line, with one endpoint, that continues without end in one direction Example: ray CD

Aim: Draw the Perpendicular Bisector of segment AB =4 cm Rule a line (leaving some space on each side of the line) A B

26 Construct the bisector of an angle
Draw the angle AOB Using the vertex o as centre draw an arc to meet the arms of the angle at Xand Y. Using x as centre and the same radius draw a new arc. Using y as centre and the same radius draw an overlapping arc. Mark the point where the arcs meet. OM is the angle bisector of angle AOB. A X x x M O Y Menu B
