20 CAD Lessons CAD normally requires special software. We will be using a new program called SketchUp. SketchUp is a simplified CAD program that we will use to teach you some CAD skills. It might be slightly different on Windows than the Mac. –SketchUp is a free download from Google. –You can try it at home if you like. –No one program does everything a good CAD program can do.
