Wales Community Church Sunday School Class Gives Their Pennies! The Wales Sunday School Church have a plastic birthday cake in which the children (and a few adults too) drop pennies in on their birthday. When the cake gets full, they donate it to an organization that benefits kids! Their donation represented seven hundred and ninety two years of life in their congregation!! It’s not the size of the gift that matters, but the heartfelt desire to give what you can to help others. They, like many others have invested in a worthwhile cause…the life of a child. Thank you Wales Sunday School Class for your act of kindness!! We were touched and honored by one local churches donation…..

It’s time for our Annual Tailgate Dinner!! We held our annual tailgate dinner on 9-11-2009. The Iowa Beef Producers fired up their grill for a delicious meal! Guests were able to choose between a hamburger or steak sandwich, beans, chips, dessert & a drink – all for $5!! We raised over $700 and several people came back for seconds! Thank you Fareway & Al Thole for your part in making our tailgate a success!!

All it takes is a little team work to get the job done! In June we held our annual Red Oak Clean up day sponsored by Boost4Famlies. We had great weather and it was nice to see youth and adults working side by side. June’s Clean Up Red Oak Day!
